VIRBAC CANADA LAUNCHES PROIN® CHEWABLE TABLETS FOR FEMALE CANINE URINARY INCONTINENCE

CAMBRIDGE, ONTARIO (August 1, 2013) – Virbac Canada Inc. today announced the launch of PROIN® Chewable Tablets, a new Virbac product that controls urinary incontinence in female dogs due to urethral sphincter hypotonus.  

PROIN® Chewable Tablets is an exclusive formulation using the active ingredient phenylpropanolamine (PPA) hydrochloride, a partial α-adrenergic agonist, to tighten the bladder sphincter muscle in most dogs helping control urine leakage.  PROIN® Chewable Tablets is clinically proven to be safe, effective and highly palatable, while the scored chewable tablets are easy to administer.

This prescription-only product is scheduled for availability from the Veterinary Purchasing Groups in August 2013.
